Family First ...

The past 3 months have been hard for me because I have been helping my parents, who both need in-home care or assisted living. But, as other have shared with me, many seniors don't want to exersise anything that challenges their independence.

October gave a few great flying days, but most of them tied up with tasks.

Hi David!

The yahoo account listed came back to me...

My name is Michael or Mike whichever you prefer and we have never been formally introduced but I found your aviation blog last spring and I love reading your posts. Are you still flying? You have not posted anything since October. Anyway, I'm just looking to connect with people that love to fly. I started in early 1995 when I was a senior in high school and flew through Sept 9th 2001. I have my private, instrument and was about 2 weeks away from my commercial checkride when 9/11 happened with about 20 hours of flight time in a Learjet 60 Level D simulator at Flight Safety in Tucson.

I was also interested in any people that you know who fly...and what sources they used to fund it. I've read a lot of information about grants and scholarships (most less than $3,000) and am researching other areas.

I hope you are well!

Sincerely,

Michael Chasan

It is important to help our parents. So many young people get busy with their lives and forget their parents.

Best luck!
